My father had a Jasper engine installed in his station car a couple of years ago, when the original engine blew somewhere around 200k miles. There were no problems with the Jasper engine, and the mechanic who installed it has a great reputation, so he would not use junk. The engine was still going strong when the car was totaled, while parked, during a mild snowstorm. The replacement engine survived, though, and was transferred to a car that was being fixed for a low income family, so it's probably still going strong somewhere. - BMWguy (Review found on City-Data)
